Dumiso Dabengwa and his party ZAPU have urged regional bloc Sadc to include more players in the Zimbabwe inter-party talks it is facilitating saying the three political parties currently involved were merely concerned with their organisations' interests.

Party spokesperson Methuseli Moyo on Friday said a majority of Zimbabweans now believed the talks between Zanu-PF, MDC-T and MDC would never end as little progress has been made except when it came to the sharing of positions in the government amongst the leadership of the three parties.

Moyo said his party is calling on Sadc to seriously consider broadening the talks to include more players and stakeholders in order to achieve a sustainable solution to our political problems.

He said Zapu hoped the latest round of talks mediated by President Jacob Zuma's facilitation team which moved to Cape Town this week would come out with a definite way forward for the country.

Moyo said Zapu now believed that it's time for more players in the form of opposition parties, civic societies, churches and traditional leadership to be drafted in.
