Woman kidnaps hubby's small house

A woman here allegedly kidnapped a 15-year-old girl before assaulting her saying she was having an affair with her husband.
She appeared before a Kadoma magistrate on Friday. Charity Mashinya, 22, allegedly teamed up with Primrose Masawi, 17, and Sharmen Muzenda, 16, went to the girl's house where they accused her of having a love affair with Mashinya's husband.
The trio last week appeared before magistrate Takudzwa Wazemba facing kidnapping and assault charges.
The court heard Mashinya and her accomplices drove to the girl's house on August 10 this year and started assaulting her before forcing the girl into their vehicle.
The three drove to a certain house in Rimuka, Kadoma where they assaulted and tortured the girl with electric gadgets.
According to state papers, the trio assaulted the girl, calling her a prostitute who should be taught a lesson.
Prosecutor Wayne Togara told the court that Masawi and Muzenda assaulted the girl with sticks while Mashinya tortured her with an unknown electric gadget.
The girl fell unconscious and the trio drove her back to her house, where they dumped her near the gate before driving away, the court heard.
It is alleged that the girl later informed her parents about the ordeal, leading to the trio's arrest.
Magistrate Wazemba released Masawi and Muzenda on free bail while Mashinya was released on a $200 bail.
The three will appear in court on September 6 for trial.
