Five people died while five others were injured when two cars were involved in a head-on collision at Mt View College near Marondera.
Acting Provincial Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Tendai Mwanza said four people died on the spot while one died on arrival at Marondera Hospital.
The bodies were taken to Marondera General Hospital Mortuary.
Names of the deceased have been withheld until their next of kin are informed.
