Zimbabwean youths have shown commitment to work in partnership with different sectors in society to advance the millennium development goal (MDG) of ensuring environmental sustainability.
This was said by the visiting Junior Chamber International (JCI) president, Chiara Milani.
Milani said Zimbabwean youths have set an important example as they work with different partners to promote the MDG number seven of ensuring environmental sustainability.
She said the environment remains an important aspect of human development and there is need to create working synergies among different partners.
The JCI president then led an initiative that saw seven trees being planted in partnership with the Zimbabwe National Army and a local bank.
JCI is one of the biggest worldwide non-political and non-sectarian youth service organisations.
The organisation is an international community of citizens between the ages of 18 and 40 with the aim of creating positive change in the world.
