General Constantine Chiwenga pledges allegiance to Mugabe

President Mugabe was inaugurated as president of the country this morning giving him another five years in office. The President took his Oath of Office pledging his allegiance to serving Zimbabwe in front of a massive crowd of Zimbabweans at the national sports stadium.
The ceremony saw Army Commander General Constatine Chiwenga taking to the podium to pledge allegiance on behalf of all service chiefs.
The event was also graced by African Heads of State, former presidents and high-ranking dignitaries. Outgoing Defence Minister Emerson Mnangagwa said this event evokes the memory of 1980 as it brought back the spirit of the President Mugabe liberation.
