Hubby orders wife to place her hands on a red hot stove

A Dzivarasekwa man who allegedly ordered his wife to place her hands on a red hot stove as punishment has been dragged to court.
David Hazangwi was brought before Harare Civil Court by his wife Venus Rusike on allegations of physical abuse.
Rusike told the court that her husband assaults her and their children for "silly" reasons. "I have been married to this man for 15 years and living with him has been hell. He is very abusive and uses a knife to threaten me and our children," she said.
"He once switched the stove on and ordered me to place my hands on it when it was red hot saying he would eat them, just because I had delayed opening the door for him."
Rusike said she had tried to consult their relatives about the issues but to no avail.
"I tried to involve our relatives to resolve our issues but the situation got worse. I now fear for the security of the kids. He left the house on August 19 and left me with nothing to fend for our kids."
