Baba Jukwa unleashes more death warnings

BABA Jukwa, a controversial faceless Facebook character who developed a cult following in the build-up to the July 31 polls before disappearing, has resurfaced.
After watching President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu-PF romp to a disputed victory in the July elections, Baba Jukwa is once again posting politically sensitive issues, warning of death plots and vowing to expose how "evil Zanu-PF is".
And he is also warning senior politicians that they are birds on a wire. In one of his latest postings, Baba Jukwa warns losing Zanu-PF lawmaker for Tsholotsho North, Jonathan Moyo, to guard his life, claiming that his party is out to kill him.
"This second warning goes to the disgruntled Tsholotsho loser Jonathan Moyo. I told you before and now listen again if you care about your life. In the next four days until Saturday evening, no matter how needy or desperate your friend or pass by is to you (sic), never accept passengers in your car," Baba Jukwa posted.
Although Zanu-PF has dismissed Baba Jukwa's posts as a sideshow, the mole is making even more ominous posts. He rubbished claims that he was finished after Zanu-PF's crushing defeat.
"It is funny if people think that I am finished. When the crocodile goes under water, it doesn't mean to say that it is dead. It is dreaming about its next prey. Baba Jukwa is alive, fit and fine," Baba Jukwa posted on August 17 from a mobile phone.
"They thought I was dead after the election came, went, but here I am tenfold strong and getting even better. I like it very much Zimbabwe when these evil people and their operatives get angry and try to discredit the truth I write here. I will not rest or allow sleep to my eyelids until every corrupt person in the ancestors' land Zimbabwe is exposed, stripped, and trashed."
Churning out what has come to be known as government and Zanu-PF secrets on the social media, Baba Jukwa continues to be a phenomenon, attracting 370 000 likes on his Facebook page by Wednesday.
In the run-up to the July elections, Baba Jukwa's postings spoke about how Zanu-PF ministers looted State resources at the expense of ordinary Zimbabweans, encouraging Zimbabweans to vote for the MDC and its leader Morgan Tsvangirai.
He even predicted a landslide victory for the former prime minister, claiming that President Robert Mugabe and his "evil party" were headed for a devastating defeat.
On the eve of the do-or-die poll, the crowd puller vowed to expose how Zanu-PF was planning to rig the elections.
Soon after results were announced showing that Mugabe and his Zanu-PF party were headed for a landslide victory, Baba Jukwa disappeared from the popular social network site, sparking frenzied speculation.
With emotions and frustrations slowly disappearing in people's hearts, Baba Jukwa has resurfaced, continuing to reveal scary death plots and other "shenanigans" taking place in government and Zanu-PF party.
Despite unsubstantiated reports that there was a reward of up to $300 000 for anyone who assists with information regarding the identity of the obscure mole, Baba Jukwa is unfazed, vowing to expose more dirty Zanu-PF secrets and threatening to make Zimbabwe ungovernable.
Prior to that, Baba Jukwa told National Railways of Zimbabwe workers who had gone for months without pay to call their manager, the late national hero Mike Karakadzai and ask him why he was not paying them their salaries.
A day after Baba Jukwa's posting, Karakadzai died in a road accident and was declared a national hero.
Before elections, Baba Jukwa claimed to have predicted the death of Zanu-PF lawmaker Edward ChindoriChininga, who later died in a car accident while coming from Guruve.
