PSC urged to clarify situation of Tsvangirai's former staffers

Political analysts yesterday called on the Public Service Commission to clarify the situation of staffers who were employed in former PM Morgan Tsvangirai's office, saying delays in doing so create confusion in government circles as some of the employees received their pay cheques from the MDC-T.
The calls come in light of last week's public spat between Tsvangirai and President Mugabe's spokespersons Luke Tamborinyoka and George Charamba respectively over the former's status following MDC-T's loss in the July 31 elections.
On Friday, Charamba was quoted by the State media claiming that Tamborinyika was a civil servant and not allowed to issue statements purporting to represent the PM.
However, Tamborinyika said he had never been a government employee.
