We are running live updates of the swearing in ceremony of the new Cabinet.
1443: The President has called upon farmers not to focus only on the production of tobacco (whose tonnage has continues to increase) but also focus on maize and cotton
1436: This will include financial aid and called upon financial institutions to reduce interest rates. Farmers should be also be assisted by agricultural extension officers who should give them advice in order to produce more cotton, tobacco, maize and what animals to rear and how to practice successful animal husbandry.
1435: The new government will look at the agricultural requirements of farmers and assist them to ensure their success - President
1434: The President has started addressing journalists. He says the programme for the next five years will continue with where the previous government left off. The new ministers will be briefed to ensure that they are up to date with what was and what was not accomplished.
