Discussions to review civil servants salaries start

The Zimbabwe Teachers' Association says the Civil Service Commission has shown commitment towards increasing civil servants salaries as suggested by President Mugabe.

Civil servants representative bodies met the CSC (formerly the Public Service Commission) in Harare yesterday to discuss the realignment of statuses within the Public Service Act with the new Constitution and conditions of service among other issues.

Zimta secretary general Richard Gundani said the association was pleased by the willingness of the CSC to improve the remuneration packages of civil servants.
