Two of the 21 MDC-T activists who were on Thursday acquitted of the murder of a police officer in Harare's Glen View suburb on Friday said their unjust detention had emboldened them to fight President Mugabe and Zanu-PF's rule to the bitter end.
The pair, Lovemore Taruvinga Magaya and Linda Musiyanhanje, said as correctly observed by High Court judge Justice Chinembiri Bhunu's ruling on their request for discharge at the close of the State's case, they had given the police their alibis which could be corroborated.
They also rapped the police for deliberately "sleeping on duty" resulting in a 28 month ordeal in which they spent long periods in detention.
