Zesa Holdings subsidiary, the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company, has threatened to cut off power supplies to consumers who fail to clear their current bills.
The development comes after the power utility slashed bills for ordinary consumers and farmers under political pressure.
A fortnight ago Zesa announced that all domestic customers would benefit from a debt relief of $160 per household.
Collectively, debt relief for farmers amounted to $80 million while that for ordinary consumers would be $90 million.
