The Ministry of Lands and Rural Resettlement is drafting the Land Commission Bill which proposes to create a commission that will replace the Agriculture Land Board.
The Minister of Lands and Rural Resettlement, Dr Douglas Mombeshora says the drafting of the Land Commission Bill is an important process in seeking to finalise land administration in Zimbabwe.
This comes after the country has distributed almost 1 million hectares of land under the land reform programme.
The proposed land commission will also be tasked to work with the Surveyor General's office in demarcating land.
The ministry has also revealed that it is tackling challenges where everybody whether black or white must have an offer letter from the government.
The government's position is that land invasions are illegal and all those seeking to be resettled must do so through legal means.
Over 300000 families have benefitted from the land reform programme which has given the previously landless black people a chance to own the means of production.
