Legislators ready to debate 14 bills

The leaders of the house in the National Assembly say the legislators are ready to debate the bills as outlined by President Robert Mugabe during the official opening of the 8th Parliament.
Zanu PF Deputy Chief Whip, Mandy Chimene and MDC-T Chief Whip, Mr Innocent Gonese told the ZBC that their respective parties are geared up to debate the bills in the house.
The two also said the bills are a very important process of parliament business and the parties have a keen interest in contributing to the coming debates.
Members of the National Assembly from different constituencies around the country also said they have interests in pushing through the bills which have an important bearing on the lives of the people they are representing.
14 bills are set to be debated amid indications by President Mugabe in his opening speech that parliament will have to strive by all means to deliver results to the ordinary people of Zimbabwe.
