Drunk cop caught on CCTV stealing beer

A visibly drunk police officer allegedly stole a bottle of whiskey at a retail outlet located at Fife Avenue Shopping centre on Wednesday last week.
Stephen Manyange (26), a constable in the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), was caught on camera by the CCTV security and was arrested immediately after leaving the shop without paying.
The policeman tried to resist arrested and had to wrestle with security guards. He was clad in his police uniform and he took advantage of his long overcoat and hid the bottle inside the coat.
A vigilant security detail manning the CCTV noticed his strange movements and investigated. he was searched and a 200ml bottle of of alcohol was recovered. Interestingly, the bottle of whisky is worth only US$1.79.
Stephen said the bottle MIRACULOUSLY found its way into his pocket.
"I don't even how how this bottle got into my own pocket. I am on my way to work and I will be starting my duty at PGHQ and this is embarrassing," said the police officer as he walked in a drunken stupor.
A docket was opened at Fife Avenue police post and the cop was led to Harare central Police station.
