Former Premier Morgan Tsvangirai's MDC-T party says it now has documentary evidence of the involvement of the military, the Chinese government as well as Israeli firm Nikuv projects in rigging Zimbabwe's July poll in favour of Zanu-PF.

In an interview with The Zimbabwean following a party Standing Committee meeting, spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora said army, police and central intelligence chiefs were heavily involved in "electoral engineering."

"The Standing Committee met today and discussed among other things the issue of evidence to do with the electoral theft of July 31. We have documents that show there was a high level military meeting at Manyame Air Base that was attended by members of the Chinese government and officials from Israeli firm Nikuv Projects that plotted how to disenfranchise Zimbabweans.

"At the meeting top security chiefs where deployed and assigned to different provinces to monitor the elections and make sure the plan of action is put into motion," Mwonzora alleged.

He said the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has denied his party the voters roll on advice from Nikuv.

"In the documents they describe the MDC as the enemy and that in itself shows how the security sector was rooting for Mugabe and Zanu PF against the requirements of the constitution.

"I must say though this evidence is enough to show the elections were rigged but the voters roll that we have been denied at the instigation of Nikuv remains key to what transpired. Zimbabweans must never tire from revealing the truth and the history of this country must make a true record of how this election was stolen from citizens," said the former Nyanga legislator.

"It does not matter whether Zuma (South African President) or Ban Ki Moon (United Nations Secretary General) believe it or not," he added.

Zanu PF the party that won a two thirds majority in the July harmonised elections has steadfastly insisted that they won squarely while regional and international monitors gave the poll qualified endorsements.

Mwonzora said the MDC-T is now working on a consolidated report that will, be presented to diplomats, Sadc, the African Union as well as the United Nations.

"We have evidence of who recruited Nikuv, minutes of the meetings that were held. There are signed documents that are irrefutable," said Mwonzora.
