Gukurahundi architect's son dies

Titus Takudzwa Chikerema, son of the Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ) commander, Air Marshal Perence Shiri who presided over the Gukurahundi Massacres in Matabeleland and MIdlands, has died.
Shiri's name remains synonymous with the Gukurahundi massacres in the Matabeleland provinces. His death squads carried out mass killings in the countryside between 1982 and 1987.
He was 21.
Titus died on Sunday at Manyame Air Force Base hospital after a short illness.
Chief of Staff Supporting Services, Air Vice Marshal Shebba Shumbayaonda confirmed the sad development, describing Titus as a boy who was full of life and energy.
Titus was born on 30 September 1992 in Harare and did his primary education at Hellenic Primary School in Harare and later went to Watershed College in Marondera.
At the time of his death, he was at Direct Contact College in Harare still pursuing his academic studies.
Mourners are gathered at number 18, Gora Close, Borrowdale in Harare.
Titus is expected to be buried at 11am on Wednesday [23 October] at Musoni village under Chief Mutekedza in Chikomba.
