Family members of slain Zimbabwe embassy official, Lucky Hakueri, who was shot in South Africa have called for thorough investigations into his death as they suspect foul play.
Speaking at his burial in Mhondoro yesterday the deceased's father, Mr Peter Hakueri, expressed bitterness saying he was not satisfied with the information about the death of his son insisting on further investigations.
"We want closure on what really occurred because I am not satisfied with the explanation I received concerning my son's death.
"I suspect foul play in his death and I hope that both the police in South Africa and Zimbabwe will work together and assist with investigations," he said.
The late Hakueri's wife, Ms Sarah Sande, said that she is grieved at the loss of her husband.
"I am in pain and also waiting for the relevant authorities to explain to me why my husband was killed. His death came so sudden and is a tragic loss to the entire family," she said.
