Man, ex-lover in property wrangle

A legal storm is brewing between Harare property mogul and business man, Hanif Allana and his former girlfriend, Audrey James over the sale of a $600 000 Avondale house.
James, who was last year thrown out of the house which belonged to Uniress Investments in which she, together with her 16-year old daughter, Ammara Hanif Allana are directors, has since approached the High Court through her lawyer, Kudaishe Gama seeking intervention on the basis that the sale of the property was fraudulent.
ZBC is in possession of a letter dated 12 September 2013 and copied to Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku and other judges, in which the Chief Registrar of Companies states that a CR14 form for Uniress Investments signed on 22 July 2008 is fake.
An annual return signed 29 July 2010 is also fake as signatures were forged and the receipt numbers are also doctored.
The disputed property is alleged to have been sold by unanimous decision by the directors to Servter Investments (PVT) Limited, a company owned by a Palestinian diplomat, Salim Abdullah Siam.
Audery contends she and her daughter, Amara as the sole directors of Uniress Investments, the company which owns the disputed property, never appointed Moosa and Mohamed Allana or authorised the sale of the property.
Efforts to get a comment from Hanif Allana were fruitless as he said he will get back to this reporter but failed to do so.
