RAUNCHY dancer Beverly Sibanda has claimed she is in love with Warriors and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Khama Billiat.
Bev first made the sensational claim in an interview with a local radio station yesterday morning before reiterating the statement to NewsDay a few hours later.
"We are in love and his wife knows about it," Bev claimed before turning down further questions about the relationship from NewsDay.
"Please change the subject. We can talk about my work, but I cannot say much about my love life. I do not know how he (Billiat) will feel about this because the information is not for public consumption. I made that statement unintentionally and I do not want people to blow it out of proportion. It might affect his family and career."
However, the South Africa-based footballer rubbished Bev's claims saying the dancer wanted to soil his image.
"I am hurt. I do not know why she keeps nagging me like that," Billiat said. "She has made such claims before and I told her to stop it. I am not in love with her. I am happily married and I cannot disrespect my wife."
Billiat said he stopped communicating with Bev about three months ago when she began 'lying' they were in love.
"She was in love with my friend and when they broke up she started stalking me. We used to chat on WhatsApp on general issues. I did not know she had a hidden agenda. I last saw her at Red Fox Hotel after our (Warriors') game with Egypt in June."
Billiat disclosed former Warriors skipper and Mamelodi Sundowns team manager Peter Ndlovu was not amused with yesterday's reports of the alleged affair.
"He asked me about it when we went for training session. He was not happy and he warned me against the relationship. I told him Bev is lying to attract attention."
Bev has been rumoured to be in love with a number of football players, but she has sternly denied the allegations.
About four months ago she denied being in love with Billiat after a local tabloid quizzed her about the footballer's image she had used as her WhatsApp profile picture.
The picture was accompanied by a status with love lyrics from Alick Macheso's song Sarah.
Bev refused to tell NewsDay when she fell in love with Billiat. She also could not reveal when they first met. Bev (22) is a single mother to a four-year-old son.
Billiat (23) is married to Esnath Munyedawo and they have a three-year-old daughter.
