MORGAN Tsvangirai is "as good as mad" for refusing to accept his crushing election defeat on 31 July, President Mugabe said yesterday.
Mugabe said the MDC-T leader was "running to London" and making futile trips to a famous Nigerian prophet seeking prayers in the vain hope of discrediting Zanu-PF's victory, which was endorsed by the African Union and Sadc.
"We won elections, now Mr Tsvangirai is running around saying he was cheated. I don't think he is normal. He is as good as mad," Mugabe told hundreds of people who came to meet him at the Catholic-run Sacred Heart Girls High School which is under construction in Umzingwane District.
President Mugabe said in the whole world, only Mr Tsvangirai, Britain and the United States thought Zanu-PF had not won fairly.
To laughter, President Mugabe added: "He is running to London and has been to TB Joshua seeking prayers.
"But you cannot pray for a person who is bent on wrong-doing. He (Tsvangirai) knows he lost but says we stole the vote. Nxa umuntu ekhuluma amanga anjalo (if someone tells such lies) and goes to the pastor to say pray for me, God will not listen to such a prayer.
"You know you are telling a lie and you kneel down asking God to give you blessings. Unless you know how to be honest, truthful and frank and admit your own mistakes, God will not listen to you. We also pray for our own mistakes. We won and the whole world knows that except the British and the United States who tell lies like Tsvangirai."
