Knives out for sex prophet

A prophet traced to Bikita and famous for assisting women to con­ceive (kuuchika) was caught on camera recently having a sex with a mar­ried woman in a bush in Mutare.
This further puts to question the credibility of the many prophets, some bragging about riches and others claim­ing supernatural powers including giv­ing women miracle children who have mushroomed in Zimbabwe.
A four-minute tape of the prophet going hard on the woman has gone viral and has become a household item par­ticularly in Mutare where the incident happened two weeks ago.
The prophet did not put on a con­dom when he had sex with the married woman.
Manica Post, a provincial weekly in Mutare has identified the man as Prophet Simon Neruwana, a prominent prophet with the Zion Church who comes from Bikita and the husband of the wife as Darlington Mutudza.
Reports from Mutare indicate that the husband started trembling all over when he was shown the tape and he left in a state of confusion. He however, said he still loved his wife, Memory and will not chase her away from the matrimonial home.
The prophet who is popular in Mu­tare for assisting women conceive is said to have been spotted by another man of the church walking into a bush at the fringes of Mutare city. From the op­posite direction came a plump woman and the two met and started kissing and caressing.
The church man who spotted them and took the video is a member of the Apostolic church who was doing his prayers in the bush. The Madzibaba man got curious when the two disap­peared onto the ground.
He got closer and saw the man pull down the woman's pants and then his own trousers to just above the knees and the two started having sex. The four minute video shows the man on top and the woman's legs spread out with the prophet going hard and fast on the woman. The madzibaba man testi­fied that the woman was groaning with pleasure during the act. The two were so engrossed in the act that Madzibaba walked so close and filmed them from about 3 metres away.
The act ended prematurely when Madzibaba failed to hold his cough and the two jumped from their positions and started dressing.
People in Mutare said the prophet was very popular with women in Mutare because of his ability to help women conceive.
The prophet who is a qualified electrician works for the city of Mu­tare and he had to disappear to his home in Bikita when the scandal ex­ploded.
Prophet Neruwana is not the first high profile prophet to fall foul of christian teachings. Madzibaba Nzira who was also popular for assisting women to con­cieve was jailed for 30 years after sev­eral married women reported that he raped them.
One man who talked on condition of anonymity said the majority of prophets mushrooming in Zimbabwe are crooks taking advantage of peo­ple's desperation.
"This is the shame of our prophets. Some are after money and others af­ter women. Look at how this prophet could be spreading HIV and AIDS," said the man.
