An envoy from Ras Al Khaimah, an emirate in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday delivered a special message to President Robert Mugabe at his Munhumutapa offices in Harare.
Mr Salem Ali Abdullah Al Alunuami presented a gift of a painting of Ras Al Khaimah 100 years ago to Mugabe.
Zimbabwe and Ras Al Khaimah relations have grown over the years and mining, health, tourism, industry and commerce, energy and agriculture are the sectors ear-marked for collaboration between the two countries.
Mr Alunuami said he is here to tell Zimbabwe that his state is committed to invest in Zimbabwe.
"We have good business opportunities here in Zimbabwe and I am here to assure His Excellency, President Robert Mugabe, that we are still committed to do business with Zimbabwe. There are teams working from both sides, trying to identify opportunities for more co-operation that will benefit the people of Zimbabwe and the people of Ras Al Khaima," he said.
Last year, the emirate signed a memorandum of understanding with Zimbabwe when its leader, Sheikh Saud Al Qasimi visited the country.
Vice President Joice Mujuru had earlier visited the emirate, where he toured various companies, including a pharmaceutical firm in the state.
The Ras Al Khaimah delegation, which is in the country, will leave on Thursday.
