Western powers have been castigated for trying to alienate Zimbabweans from their leaders after Zanu-PF won the July 31st harmonised elections.
The Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, Professor Jonathan Moyo, says Britain and her allies' regime change agenda in Zimbabwe collapsed when the revolutionary party trounced the MDC formations in the July 31 harmonised elections.
Professor Moyo was addressing members of the Joint Command in Harare on Monday.
He said Zimbabweans are beginning to find each other after the harmonised elections as a result of Zanu-PF's emphatic victory.
Regarding the issue of succession within Zanu-PF, the Minister said such talk should never be topical as it was put to rest by the electorate that gave President Robert Mugabe a mandate to rule for the next five years.
He said efforts should rather be channeled towards ensuring the success of the economic blue print, ZIMASSET, which will deal with such issues as food security, revival of social services, poverty eradication, among others.
The Joint Command and Staff Course Number 26 comprised officers drawn from the Zimbabwe National Army, Airforce of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Republic Police, Namibia Defence Forces, Tanzania People's Defence Forces and the South African National Defence Forces.
