High Court judge, Justice Chinembiri Bhunu today postponed indefinitely the case of seven MDC-T members who are standing trial facing charges of murdering a police officer in Glen View, Harare in 2011.
They are part of the 29 MDC-T members who were arrested and charged of murdering the police officer. However, the other 21 were acquitted by the same judge in September while the other on Rebecca Mafukeni died while in remand prison.
The seven are; Last Maengahama, an MDC-T national executive member, Harare Councillor, Tungamirai Madzokere, Yvonne Musarurwa, Lazarus Maengahama, Edwin Muingiri, Phineas Nhatarikwa, and Paul Rukanda.
Last Maengahama, Madzokere and Musarurwa have been in remand prison since 2011 while the other four are out on bail.
The MDC-T said it maintains its position that the remaining activists are innocent and those in remand prison should be granted bail waiting for the finalisation of the trial.
