INFORMATION, Media and Broadcasting Services minister Professor Jonathan Moyo's electoral petition challenging the election of MDC-T's Rosylene Nkomo as MP for Tsholotsho North has been set for a hearing on December 9.
Moyo had challenged Nkomo's victory in the July 31 general elections citing rigging and demanded a recount and a re-election within 90 days.
Moyo's initial application had also cited the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission as a responded, but he dropped the petition against the electoral body last month.
Moyo was appointed a non-constituency MP by President Robert Mugabe and subsequently given the information portfolio in the new Zanu-PF government.
