Zanu-PF National Chairman, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo has urged Zimbabwean youths to remember the liberation history of the country and preserve the legacy of the revolutionary fathers.

Speaking at the official relaunch of a locally written book, entitled 'The Chimurenga Protocol', Ambassador Moyo paid tribute to its author Dr Nyaradzo Mutizira saying the book should be read by all youths for them to understand the country's  history.

"The book is an essential reading for the youth of this great nation. The youth must remember the liberation history of this great country and they must act to preserve it's profound legacy bestowed on them by H.E. President Robert Gabriel Mugabe and our revolutionary party, Zanu-PF," said Ambassador Moyo.

The book's author Dr Nyaradzo Mutizira said there is need to tell the story of Zimbabwe's land reform programme from the indigenous people's perspective after the demonization of the initiative by the Western media and those aligned to it.

Dr Mutizira said: "I realised that there are a lot of misconceptions created by the Western media. So I have decided to tell the story from the indigenous people's perspectives."

The book articulates the story of Zimbabwe's land tenure from colonialism to the present day while raising fundamental issues of the realities of the land redistribution programme launched to give back the country's land to a majority of indigenous black Zimbabweans.
