ZESA Holdings has announced that there will be an increase in load shedding outside the published schedule as previously advertised.

In a statement, ZESA Spokesperson, Fullard Gwasira said this has been necessitated by depressed electricity generation at Hwange Power Station due to a power system disturbance from Kafue Gorge on Saturday morning.

Mr Gwasira said the power utility is currently working to restore generation to normal levels.

He urged customers to use the available power sparingly to minimise the effects and extent of load shedding.
