A ROWA woman last week successfully won a protection order against the wife and children of the man she allegedly snatched, the Manicapost reported.
Naume Mukono had to seek the court's intervention to avoid her hubby's wife Anita and her two children, Clifford and Ruth Karuma, from disturbing her happy moments with their father.
She was accusing them of stealing her property, assaulting and insulting her.
They appeared before Mrs Sharon Chipanga, who granted Mukono the protection order.
Though Anita's husband totally neglected his family for Mukono, Anita produced before the court a marriage certificate of the 5.11 wedding.
Mukono told the court officials that Anita stole her plates, asbestos and goats when they had a misunderstanding about their husband.
"She stole my property and I want all those things back," said Mukono.
She also said Clifford came several times to her place threatening and insulting her as he looked for his father.
"Clifford came in the middle of the night shouting at me and disturbing my sleep, looking for his father. Ruth is the one that assaulted me sometime in November and I am sick and tired of this. I need my peace," she said.
She admitted that she was head over heels in love with Anita's husband and she was not going to leave him since they now have four children over the past six years.
In response, Anita said she did not have anything against Mukono.
She produced before Mrs Chipanga a marriage certificate and explained that Mukono was the one staying with her husband so the reason for the peace order was to stop her from getting closer to her hubby.
"She is only trying to keep me away from my husband, that is the reason for the peace order," said Anita.
She further said she never stole any asbestos, plates and goats as indicated by Mukono in her affidavit.
"I only broke a few plates sometime back when we had a misunderstanding, but we went to court and paid $40 for those plates," she said.
Clifford told the court that he never went to Mukono's place and insulted or threatened to beat her.
"I'm not against her application but it should not hinder us from approaching our father when we have problems in our family," said Clifford.
Ruth was in default.
Mrs Chipanga ordered Anita and her children to observe the peace against Mukono and advised her to take legal channels if she had problems with her husband. However, the two parties almost got into a fist fight after the court session.
