ZAPU blighted by In-house fighting, 'using people to gain political mileage'

In-house fighting has rocked the ZAPU as Agrippah Madlela claims to be the legitimate leader. He is accusing Dumiso Dabengwa of being an illegitimate president who is 'just power hungry and trying to usurp the party's constitution and creating a one man run show'.
Madlela, who says elections should be held this year without fail, told the state controlled ZBC News that Dabengwa was never elected to the party's presidency but is trying to further his own political interests.
"Who appointed Dabengwa as ZAPU president? We do not know him, he is trying to use people to gain political mileage," said Mandlela but efforts to get a response from Mr Dabengwa were not successful.
A number of political organisations that have mushroomed in the country have failed to make any significant impact on the country's political landscape with infighting and power struggles contributing to the lack of vision in the parties.
