The late television and radio personality, Alyce Chavunduka, will be buried on Monday at Glen Forest Gardens at 3pm.

Family spokesperson, Mr Chris Mbanga said a church service will be held at the Anglican Cathedral at 1.15pm before burial.

Mr Mbanga said people will leave the family home at Number 40, The Chase, in Mt Pleasant at 12:30 in the afternoon.

Earlier on Saturday, a memorial service was held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

South African Broadcasting Corporation spokesperson, Mr Kaizer Kganyago said the corporation has sent messages of condolence as Chavunduka was a pioneer in the field of broadcasting.

Kganyago said Chavunduka contributed a lot in making sure that women who are on television today have courage, adding that they should continue where she left.

Chavunduka died last Sunday at the age of 46, after suffering an epileptic seizure at her home a week before her death.

She was involved in two serious road accidents, one of which left her suffering from epileptic fits.

Chavunduka worked for the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation before she joined the SABC.

Meanwhile, her body is expected in the country this weekend.
