Former St Mary's legislator and now opposition politician Job Sikhala has been charged with reckless driving after he was involved in an accident that injured eight people over the festive holidays.
Charity Charamba said yesterday the MDC-T founding member was involved in a car crash along Bikita near Nyika growth point on December 29 last year.
She said Sikhala had not been co-operating with the police until yesterday when he took the law enforcement agents to the accident scene for indication.
Sikhala was involved in a road accident near Nyika Growth Point in Masvingo in December.
Sikhala said his wife and eight children sustained serious injuries and have been admitted at Silveira Mission Hospital in Bikita.
"The vehicle lost the braking system at the very sloppy area, two kilometres from Nyika…and in trying to control the vehicle it overturned three times.. I just sustained minor injuries and I am in a shock how God's hand rescued from such a horrific accident."
His six year old daughter was in a critical condition and was being transferred to a hospital in Harare.
