A Harare woman, Ruramai Vhere, yesterday told the Harare Civil Court that her hubby infects her with a sexually transmitted infection (STIs) whenever they make love.
Ruramai yanked her husband, Jethro before the Harare Civil Court magistrate Tafadzwa Muchami seeking a protection order against him.
The woman told the court that she no longer wants to make love to her husband as he infects her with an STI each time they do so.
"We have been married for 33 years and he has a girlfriend whom he takes to our farm in Norton. He infects me with STIs and refuses to give me money to go to the hospital to get treatment," Ruramai said.
"He sells my belongings and spends the money with his girlfriend. Recently he sold my goat. He forces me to have unprotected sex with him and infects me with STIs and he verbally abuses me every time.
"I no longer want to have sex with him your worship. I just want to stay alone with my children," she said wiping off tears.
Jethro refuted his wife's allegations and said he has never infected her with any disease.
Magistrate Muvhami ordered Jethro not to abuse or force her wife to have sex with him.
The magistrate said he risked being arrested for marital rape.
