Tsvangirai under siege

Opposition Movement for Democratic Change party is under financial strain amid revelation that the Morgan Tsvangirai led movement's standing committee failed to meet last week.

According to a source, the financial problems are part of a plan to project Tsvangirai as failure at a time when his love life was hogging the limelight for all the wrong reasons.

A national executive member said they want to project him as a failure and it is the first time the party has failed to hold any sort of meeting because of financial problems following the party's humiliating loss at the general elections in July last year.
