ZANU-PF national chairman and Senior Minister of State in the President's Office, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo, yesterday sent his condolences to the family of the late businessman who died when his helicopter crashed in Gwanda.
Ambassador Moyo described the late Christian Ndou Malila as a patriot.
"There is no doubt that his family and all relations are in a state of disbelief, confusion and shock. Malila was not only a prominent businessman in Beitbridge and South Africa but a true example of a patriot, a man of enviable business acumen, and a champion of success.
"He has gone too early and I pray that his exemplary life is emulated by those left behind, especially the young people, as we grapple with the challenges of economic emancipation.
"I am wishing his family strength in this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace," he said.
Malila died on January 12 when his helicopter crashed in a mountainous area of Maphani, some 6km from Gwanda.
