A Bulawayo teen broke into a house in Luveve and a couple sleeping then sneaked into their blanket and started fondling the wife.
Brendon Dube, of no fixed abode, broke into the house at around 4AM on December 28 last month and found Esilina Sisimani, 29, sleeping with her husband who was not named in court.
After pocketing a mobile phone he found on a dressing table, he sneaked into the couple's blankets and began fondling the woman's breasts, Western Commonage provincial resident magistrate Willard Maphios Moyo heard.
Tatenda Dakwa, prosecuting, said:
"He broke into the house through an opening on the cracked window pane. Soon after entering the house, Brendon stole a cellphone, four pairs of jeans and 15 napkins all valued at $100."
Not content with his loot, the teenager proceeded to the bedroom where he found the couple fast asleep, the court heard. He sneaked into the couple's blankets and started playing with the woman's breasts.
Initially, she tried to ignore Brendon's actions apparently thinking it was her husband intending to make love to her. But when she opened her eyes, Sisimani got the shock of her life when she discovered that it was an intruder.
She screamed, alerting her husband who quickly woke up. "When her husband woke up from deep slumber, Brendon jumped out of the couple's bed and tried to flee," said Dakwa.
But the lad was no match for the man of the house who mustered all the energy to thwart his attempt to escape â€" no doubt upset that his wife's crown jewels had been tampered with.
He was handed over to the police. Moyo remanded the juvenile in custody to January 20 to allow for an assessment by probation officers.
