YOUTH leaders belonging to the Movement for Democratic Change faction led by Prime Minister Mr Morgan Tsvangirai are reportedly in hiding after the murder of a top police officer during skirmishes at an MDC T meeting in Glen View, Harare- party sources have said.

The "hiding" youth chefs are Solomon Madzore, the national youth chairperson and his spokesperson Clifford Hlatshwayo. Madzore is the young brother of Glen View North legislator and Harare provincial
chairman -Paul Madzore.

Also, Promise Mkhwananzi the former student leader who is now MDC T youth secretary general is reportedly fleeing the cops fearing arrest.

The sources said the two and other MDC T activists have gone in hiding after reports that the police and Robert Mugabe's death squad √¢‚Ǩ‚Äú Central Intelligence Organization (CIO)  are hunting for them and have instructions to arrest, or shot to kill on sight.

"They are heard information that they will be shot if ever seen, so for now they can't be seen around until the dust settles on this matter," said a source.

Madzore and Hlatshwayo are rappotuers in the ongoing Parliamentary Select Committee (Copac) thematic committee phase doing data analyzing and uploading.

Ever since the MDC T    skirmishes in Glen View, they have not reported for duty and MDC Spokesperson - Doglous Monzora who is also the party co-chair at Copac said "we are handling their case and very soon, they
will be back at work," when contacted for comment yesterday.

The deceased has since been identified as Inspector Petros Mutedza (42) who was based at Borrowdale Police Station.

Inspector Mutedza, who met his fate while on duty as officer-in-charge of a police reaction group, was killed by suspected MDC-T supporters while his colleague sustained injuries. The pair had gone to investigate an illegal meeting, which MDC-T youths were holding at the shopping centre.

Although police could not be drawn into commenting last night, sources in the force said the some picked up suspects were assisting with investigations.
