Zimbabwean farmers' leader at a major international conference

Elizabeth Mpofu, Zimbabwean farmers' leader and the new General Coordinator of La Via Campesina, was the Keynote speaker at a major international conference on Food Sovereignty.

This conference was held at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) on Friday 24 January 2014.

ISS is an international graduate school of policy-oriented critical social science.

It brings together students and teachers from the Global South and the North in a European environment. ISS is part of Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Over 70 people from Zimbabwe have studied at ISS.
