THE much-hyped divorce between Phillip Chiyangwa and his wife Elizabeth looks like it has fallen through.
Chiyangwa circulated a video done on the Christmas Eve where he is brandishing an iPhone 5s coated in 24 carat gold which he bought for his wife of 30 years.
The iPhone 5s is said to be a special order and engrave
Last year, local media published Chiyangwa's divorce issue which his lawyers say was done before their client had been served with summons.
At that time Chiyangwa told the Daily News to "forget the divorce."
"It is not going to happen. Put away your champagne bottles because the so-called divorce is a nullity. I still love my wife and will always love my wife. There are no celebrations at all for those that are plotting to celebrate," the swaggering businessman said.
In divorce papers that were supposed to be lodged with the court last year, Elizabeth was demanding an 85% stake in Chiyangwa's business interests and also seeking maintenance of $83 000 a month from the date of the granting of the decree of divorce for a period of 120 months from Chiyangwa's empire, valued at around $270 million.
