A ZIMBABWEAN woman was arrested Monday for allgedly trying to smuggle narcotics worth about $96,000 out of India.
Dzvetero Mtegwe Mcvee, 34, and Mozambican her companion Macamo Paulo Azarias, 27, were arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Monday night as they tried to board a plane to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
India's Central Industrial Security Force said Mcvee was intercepted at one of the airport's terminals when her activities aroused suspicion.

But another airport security team which was keeping watch on the aircraft picked him up after which he and his baggage were sent for another round of screening.
The Mozambican's baggage was found to contain about 30kgs of the same drug kept in the cavities of a bag.
The total seizure from the duo is about 60 kgs which has an estimated open market value of $95,900, the official said.
