Veteran pole dancer Zoey Sifelani has attacked former rival Beverly Sibanda for being 'jealous' of her flourishing career.
Sifelani told the Daily News that she had received a number of threats in the form of mobile phone text messages from the former Sexy Angels front lady.
"Since Bev left showbiz for Prophet Magaya's church, I have taken over all her fans and promoters including Biggie Chinoperekwei of City Sports Bar and the development did not amuse her to be honest," Zoey said.
"Initially she, had invited me to the PHD church saying there are some prospects of making a lot of cash and I rejected her invitation.
"Now she is accusing me of belittling her decision, saying I am moving around mocking her decision to join the church.
"She even has the guts to tell me that within the next three months the holy ghost fire will descend and act upon me for mocking her decision," added the Red Angels founder.
Sifelani said she will never quit showbiz for the church.
"I can not be lured by sweets like a child. Showbiz is my life. I go to AFM church in Zimbabwe though ndinomboenda kwaMakandiwa zvimwe zviya zviya not zvepikerere (I will not quit showbiz for cheap things since dancing is part of my life. I belong to AFM Church in Zimbabwe but I seldom visit Makandiwa's United Family International Church)," she said.
Efforts to get a comment from Bev proved fruitless since she was not picking up her mobile phone. But her personal manager Hapaguti 'Harpers' Mapimhidze, who is also the president of Dancers Association of Zimbabwe (Daz) apologised on behalf of Sibanda.
"Zoey launched her complaint through Daz", he said.
"I can confirm the two exchanged unhealthy messages over Bev's commitment and decision to join Magaya's church but as Daz, we are very sorry for that and the association does not condone such behaviour," he said.
Bev and Mapimhidze joined Prophet Walter Magaya's Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries Church a couple of weeks ago.
She relinquished both her dancing and music career in order to concentrate on church business.
