Former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Gideon Gono had a licence to "use any means possible" to raise foreign exchange for the government.

This was disclosed in a final audit report done by KPMG attached to Gono's affidavit to his former top aide Munyaradzi Kereke's answering affidavit in the on-going war of attrition at the Constitutional Court.

Kereke approached the ConCourt seeking an order to have the Anti-Corruption Commission forced to investigate Gono for abuse of power and fraud.

Former Apex bank chief Gono claimed that Kereke was driven by nothing, except malice, noting his former advisor showed this by using preliminary audit reports in his arguments.
