On the 10th of February the National Executive Committee of the MDC-T Youth Assembly met in Harare and made a number of resolutions.
One such resolution was the Youth Assembly's expression of confidence in the leadership of President Tsvangirai.
The other resolution was the desire by the Youth Assembly to field President Tsvangirai as our candidate in the 2018 elections.
The Assembly also spoke on the impoverishment that Zimbabweans have continued to endure at the hands of Zanu PF. They also spoke on the massive corruption that has become the hallmark of Zanu-PF rule.
MDC-T spokesman said they (MDC-T) laud their youths for remaining focused.
"We laud our youths for remaining focused on the national issues. It is the unity of purpose that will ensure success of the MDC in the future.
"People must not lose heart over what happened on the 31st of July 2013. The struggle is very much on and we shall not relent until we reach the Promised Land.
"In the wise words of Nelson Mandela, a saint is a sinner who keeps on trying. The people of Zimbabwe shall keep on knocking until the door to freedom, justice and peace has been opened. It is clear that our youths are forward looking and are already planning for 2018. This is what we expect from these leaders of tomorrow. For the MDC Youth Assembly there are only two options in 2018. It is either we win the election or we win the election."
