A maid in Masvingo has been bashed by her employer for attempting to seduce the woman's husband.
The maid was accused of wearing mini-skirts and not sitting properly in front of the husband. Alice Geja (25) lost her temper allegedly after several warnings to the maid to stop seducing the husband through her seductive dressing.
On the particular day, she said Josephine Pasipamire, her maid wore a tattered skin tight and without giving a thought to it, Geja slapped her twice and injured one of her eyes. Geja of number 83 Carry Street Rhodene appeared in court facing assault charges.
Magistrate Langton Ndokera ordered Geja to pay a fine of $15 and pay her house maid's hospital bills.
State prosecutor, Fedelicy Nyamukondiwa told the court that on February 3 this year, Geja unlawfully assaulted Pasipamire. In her defence Geja alleges that her house maid was seducing his husband.
"Pasipamire wore miniskirts and did not sit properly in front of my husband," she said.
Geja claims that she warned her maid about her dressing but she did not take her advice.
She told the court that she could not control her temper when she saw her maid wearing a tattered skin tight in her house and beat her up.
