Judge President George Chiweshe's son Tendai was last week killed in a car crash in Namibia. He was aged 31.

Tendai reportedly succumbed to injuries sustained in the car accident and his body was repatriated to the country last weekend and was buried on Monday at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare.

The burial ceremony was attended by hordes of mourners, including top government officials and senior members of the judiciary.

Family spokesperson Raphael Chikukwa said Tendai's death was a huge blow to the family.

"It's a tough time for the family because he was a brilliant and promising young man, we are still waiting to get a clear picture on the circumstances surrounding the accident." said Chikukwa.

At the time of his death, Tendai was studying towards a Bachelor of Laws Degree with a Namibian university.
