Mr Mujaya sentenced Matimba to seven years in prison before setting aside two years on condition of good behaviour. Another three years were suspended on condition Matimba restitutes $95 000 to the complainant on or before March 7 this year.
Mr Mujaya effected two years.
In passing the sentence, Mr Mujaya said Matimba's moral blameworthiness was high considering that he is a former Member of Parliament hence he tarnished the name of the august House.
He added that Matimba, as a businessman, committed the offence out of greed not need.
Matimba sold Liberty Madzingira's house to Brian Mafirambudzi for $95 000 and converted the money to his personal use.
