Durban - A man in his thirties died after the Lamborghini he was driving left the road in Durban, South Africa North on Sunday morning and burst into flames, paramedics said.
Netcare911 spokesperson Chris Botha said witnesses saw the luxury sports car go out of control on the M 4 North around 03:30. The car left the road, ploughed through trees and undergrowth for about 400 metres, and finally came to rest on its roof near the Broadway conference centre.
When paramedics and the fire department arrived at the scene they found the vehicle totally engulfed in flames, said Botha.
After the fire was extinguished they found that the driver, an Indian male in his 30s, had died of extensive injuries.
Emergency personnel had to use the Jaws of Life to free the body from the wreckage of the car, Botha said.
