Chinese city seeks partnership with Harare

A Chinese City, Shenzen is seeking an arrangement with Harare City council for improved trade and business opportunities for both municipalities, said Mayor Bernard Manyenyeni.

In terms of trade, Shenzen has grown to become one of the economic powerhouses of China as well as the largest manufacturing base in the world.

According to Manyenyeni, if the deal succeeds, Harare which is battling with high levels of unemployment might benefit significantly as this deal also holds provincial administrative status.
