Parliamentarians asked to open Facebook accounts

Members of Parliament have been advised to open Facebook accounts and forward them to the website administrator so that their names are on the house's page.
In separate notices at the lower and upper houses, speaker of the national assembly Jacob Mudenda and president of the Senate Edna Madzongwe advised the parliamentarians
"I have to inform hon. Members/senators that you are kindly requested to submit your Facebook accounts to the website administrator in office number 506 on the 5th Floor," read the notice.
"This will enable Parliament to add them to the Facebook Committee Groups on the Parliament Facebook page."
Some of the notable politicians who have embraced social media include Water minister Savior Kasukuwere, Indigenisation minister Francis Nhema, Tourism minister Walter Mzembi and Sports minister Andrew Langa.
MDC-T's Jessie Majome, Obert Gutu, Tendai Biti, Nelson Chamisa, former education minister David Coltart and former Industry minister Welshman Ncube are some of the notable names visible on social media networks.
Recently, Mudenda bemoaned the educational qualificat6ions of some legislators that he said hindered them from understating parliamentary business.
