The trial of a Harare businessman, Herman Chimusoro who is facing charges of defrauding the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) of $1,6 million has been postponed to next month.
Chimusoro, who is the Managing Director of Creassline Music, is alleged to have defrauded the ZRP Band of $1,6 million.
The state alleges that Chimusoro was awarded a tender by the ZRP Finance Department to supply music instruments worth $1,6 million but failed to do so.
It is understood that Chimusoro was given the cash before supplying the equipment and allegedly hatched a plan to defraud the law enforcement organisation.
It is believed that Chimusoro converted the money to his personal use and nothing was recovered by the police.
A report was made, leading to Chimusoro's arrest.
